“Birth is such a personal experience it can be a difficult to assemble a team to guide you through such a journey. After meeting Erin for the first time we knew immediately she would be an essential part of our labor. Being our first birth, we knew only the material we read and the classes we took and with so much information out there it was difficult to narrow that down. Erin met with us twice before the birth at our home giving us suggested podcasts and books that were exactly what we were looking for;
positive, evidence-based material. She answered all of our questions and added a new experienced dynamic to our planning conversations.
Throughout the birth she was the physical, emotional and logical support that we needed when we became exhausted as our labor was long. She remained positive and in tune with where our next steps were headed and supported every decision we made. She integrated with our families that were anxiously awaiting to meet our baby and kept them updated for us as well.
By the time she came to our home for the final post-partum visit we truly felt like a family member was coming over; making sure we were settled in, if we needed anything, answering questions that she could relate to with her own experiences was comforting and sweet.
